Spring of my second year at university.
There was a woman I couldn't stop noticing.

A white shirt and jeans, a face with hardly any makeup. She dressed plainly, yet somehow she drew the eye, and she and I started going out.

If she dressed up just a little, how beautiful would she be?
Thinking that, I gave her clothes. I gave her shoes.
But that was not what she wanted.

"Why isn't the way I am good enough?"

Three months later.
When I happened to see her again, she was wearing vivid clothes I had never seen before, and the shoes I had given her, and she got into the luxury car waiting for her with a smile.
